This is the calm side of Agafay — no engines, no adrenaline, just the desert at its best hour. You leave Marrakech in the late afternoon and reach the Agafay hills as the light turns golden.
Local cameleers walk you through the stony desert on a gentle caravan, with time to stop at the ridge viewpoints for photos while the Atlas Mountains change colour behind you.
Back at the camp you sit around low tables and the fire for a traditional Moroccan dinner — salads, tagine and couscous with mint tea — followed by Moroccan music and an evening show under the stars before the drive back to Marrakech.
